Bruce Park Loop Track

Get to know this 1.8-km loop trail near Hunterville, Manawatū-Whanganui. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 28 min to complete. This trail is great for birding, hiking, and walking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.

Dudding Lake - Jewel of the Rangitikei

Dudding Lake, often referred to as Duddings Lake, is a recreational facility enjoyed by many of the regions local and visitors. The lake is great for swimming, boating, jet-skiing and water skiing. Fishing is permitted as the lake is stocked with trout and has a good population of perch. The campground is located next to the lake and has powered and non-powered sites for tents, campervans, caravans. There is a 2km walkway around the lake planted with native trees and great views of birdlife at the upper end.

Te Āhuru Mōwai Playground

Opened in 2022, this park includes new modern playground equipment.

Featuring a three-sided tower and new toilet facilities. The playground also boasts the longest swing set in New Zealand (at the time of its opening).

It is a hit with locals and those living in neighbouring towns and settlements and draws families travelling through Rangitīkei off the State Highway into Marton for a travel break.
